FDNY violations refer to citations issued by the Fire Department of New York for infractions related to fire safety regulations. Examples are deficiencies in the building’s fire suppression systems (sprinklers, standpipes, fire alarms and fire extinguishers). Blockage in exits or pathways, fire exits and doors, insufficient fire rated walls/barriers, improper storage of hazardous materials and failure to conduct fire safety inspections.
Our Services:
Review the FDNY Violation Notice: Carefully read the violation notice to understand the specific violations cited and the requirements for correction. The notice should include details about the violations found and the deadline for correcting them.
Correct the Violations: Instruct the property owner or occupant to take prompt action to correct the violations identified in the notice. This may involve making necessary repairs, installing or repairing fire safety equipment, addressing code violations, or implementing other required measures to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
Document Corrections: Keep detailed records of the actions taken to correct the violations. This may include photographs, receipts for repairs or purchases, inspection reports, and any other relevant documentation.
Schedule Re-inspection: Contact the FDNY to schedule a re-inspection once you believe all violations have been corrected. Provide any necessary documentation or evidence of the corrective actions taken.
Address Penalties: We will arrange for payment of any fines or penalties associated with the violations on behalf of the property owner or occupant.
